R/ / is a crazy syntax to support. - it makes / a special character - you have to escape forward slashes which is awkward in any language with R/ / syntax - re"\d" is not a valid regexp string, gotta do the escapes later -- the only universal escape in a string is either \" or even "none" as a default option |
